We the family of the late Gerry Lyons would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us in so many ways during these past very difficult weeks. Thank you for your prayers, get well cards, then sympathy cards, your text messages, phone calls and visits with words of comfort, delicious food, help with catering, preparing our home & guards of honour, in spite of the torrential rains. For the wonderful tributes both spoken & written. Those who travelled from near and far to show how much Gerry meant to you all. We will never forget your kindness and it will help us to get through.
To Fr Stephan, for the beautiful mass & the magnificent choirs, to everyone who participated in our final celebration of Gerry’s life, we thank you.
A special word of thanks to everyone Gerry met in MUH but especially everyone in the Mayo Hospice who made this very surreal journey more bearable for us all as a family, helping us to make it a very special time in spite of everything.
Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation, as it would be impossible to thank everyone individually. We are lucky to live in such a wonderful community of neighbours, friends, extended family and our greatGAA club family. A mass will be offered for your intentions.
