Bernie Gallagher 9 Cahir, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo (died May 1st, 2024). We, the family of the late Bernie Gallagher, would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their condolences in person in Louisburgh and Newcastle, by phone, online and through letters and cards of sympathy. Bernie was taken from us too soon 11 months after the sudden passing of her beloved husband, Brendon. Her sudden passing in Mayo University Hospital, despite the best efforts of the ICU staff there, has come as a terrible shock to Bernie’s entire family. Our deep shock and grief has been comforted by the huge outpouring of condolence from the many friends, work colleagues and family who knew Bernie so well and spoke with such fondness of her gentle kindness and warmth. The family would like to thank the medical professionals who looked after Bernie especially the paramedics and ICU Staff at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar; the staff at Louisburgh Medical Centre especially Dr. Eileen O’Connor and Dr. Colm Staunton. Frank Griffin, 7 De La Salle, Hopkins Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo and formerly of Kiltimagh. The Griffin family would like to express our heartfelt thank you to everyone that has shown us comfort and support after the tragic drowning accident of our son and brother Frank. Frank was a keen swimmer, enjoyed jogging, music and had a passion for Art. His love for football was always evident, he played for the GAA in his younger days and enjoyed watching the matches down through the years. Joyce Johnston nee Foley, Sligo Road, Quignalecka and formerly of Abbey Street, Ardnaree, Ballina. The family of Joyce Johnston nee Foley: her husband Chevalier and boys Chevalier jnr and Christopher, would like to extend deep gratitude to everyone who offered their condolences, love and support since we lost Mam a month ago. Loretta Moran Molloy, Blackfort Manor, Castlebar and late of Farnascullogue, Ballina and Ballycroy – died on the 18th September, 2023. We, Loretta’s family would like to thank most sincerely all the many people who called personally, gave mass cards, telephoned, sent text messages, emails, letters of condolences, condolences online, floral tributes and attended the removal of remains, mass and burial and most particularly those who travelled long distances to be here with us.
