Zara, Keith and the family of the late John F. Gildea would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who offered support and sympathy at the time of John’s passing.
We wish to thank all who called to the family home, attended the funeral, sent cards, left messages of condolence and those who travelled long distances to be with the family.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the musicians and singers who took part in the Mass and at the graveside.
Thanks to Fr. Stephen and Fr. Seamus for visiting the family home, speaking so well about our father and celebrating a very fitting and beautiful funeral Mass.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Cathal and Mary Brady, Funeral Directors, Elphin, for their professionalism and compassion throughout the funeral arrangements.
Thank you also to the gravediggers who prepared Dad’s resting place.
A special word of thanks to the local community and retired members An Garda Síochána for the guards of honour.
We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospitals who were involved in John’s illnesses throughout his life.
Finally, to the wonderful neighbours, friends and family who supplied and prepared food during those days, we are truly grateful.
It would be impossible to thank everyone individually so we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a gesture of our deep appreciation. Your kindness and presence at this sad time will not be forgotten.
Month’s Mind Mass for John will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church, Elphin on Sunday, 15th September at 11.30 a.m.
