The family of the late Mary Joyce would like to sincerely thank all who supported them during Mary’s brief illness and during the time of her funeral.
Thank you to Dr. Bogdanet and all the staff at Mayo University Hospital who were so kind and caring to her and us her family. To Dr. Gary Curran and the team in Malvern Health Centre who gave Mary such good care over many years, and also Flynn’s Pharmacy Claremorris.
To the gravediggers who prepared Mary’s final resting place, to Byrne Funeral Directors for their help and support to us. Thanks to Balla Funeral Home for the use of their great facilities. We thank Fr. Austin Fergus for the beautiful Mass and his visits to Mary in hospital. Thanks to Mick and Catherine who provided the lovely hymns and music and to all those who took part in the Mass. To the Mayo Gaels for their guard of honour. To all those who attended the funeral, who left messages of condolences, cards, flowers and to those who provided food and helped with the catering in the house, the funeral home and in Byrnes. Thanks to her neighbours and friends who gathered at the house to receive her remains for her wake and again on our departure to the funeral home, thanks to those who erected flood lights and safety signs and provided lanterns at the house. Heartfelt thanks to Mary’s neighbours who were also such good and loyal friends to her throughout her life in Cloonmeen and who helped us in so many ways over the funeral days and since, we will be forever grateful to you all. We hope this acknowledgement will be received as a token of our sincere gratitude to you all.
Month’s Mind Mass
Mary’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Sunday March 10th in Church of our Lady Queen of Peace and St Gerald’s Mayo Abbey at 10 a.m.
